Argentinian wines showcase a blend of traditions and optimal growing envronments. Originally introduced to the region by Spanish settlers, it was not until the 19th century that wine production began to show its latent promise. The ongoing arrival of a wide variety of european immigrants increased the demand for wine, know how and the awareness of a golden opportunity waiting for them in the foothills of the Andes. In the late twentieth century, Argentinian wines had made their mark on the global stage. In order to continue to ensure excellence in wine production, Argentina created the National
Viticulture Institute (INV) which regulates, inspects and provides ongoing education to ensure clients and consumers consistently enjoy the best wine Argenttina has to offer. Today Argentina is the fifth largest wine producing country in the world.
